This picture postcard is a reproduction of a vintage travel poster produced by Great Western Railway (GWR). It was produced in 1939 to advertise the company's speedy services to the West of England. The artwork is by Charles Mayo and shows a 'King' class locomotive on a holiday train for the West Country. Charles Mayo worked in the publicity department for GWR and produced artwork for their publicity material such as posters and booklets.
